Student locked in school bathroom for over 20 years

After a complaint of a fowl smell, Stoneman Douglas janitors found a student that has been locked in the bathroom of the foreign language building. This student (who does not want to be named) was set to graduate in May 1994 but was locked in the lavatory during a Senior prank earlier that year. He shared his story with us after being brought up to speed with pop culture.

“My friends and I were going to take all the sticky tac and make a snowman in the middle of the courtyard. When we finished up I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. What I didn’t know was that my “friends” had another prank in mind. As soon as I walked into that bathroom they grabbed a lock and sealed the gate. Here I am, now, after surviving off chewed gum and pencil shavings for the past 20 years.”

When reached out for comment on why the student wasn’t let out sooner, one of our current school janitors, Darren Gavis, stated “I thought it was funny”.
